Entrepreneurship is the way to the future
I have to admit that Lazada Philippines is one of our frequent stops, if not daily, for our shopping needs or just to appease our itch for window shopping. This is especially true for my husband (sorry, I disclosed you). Yeah, we constantly check the site for offers in home stuff, electronics, gadgets (such as smart phones), toys, and even apparel. We love Lazada, so to speak.
But Lazada is more than just about shopping. It is the future of shopping and doing business. Many companies have shifted or at least diversified online because more and more people are getting connected to the internet and are doing more purchasing online than in real stores. It seems that if you don’t have an online store, you will really be left behind.
And I am happy to learn that Lazada has what they dubbed as “The Lazada Philippines Entrepreneurial Scholarship Program”. This program “aims to promote a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among the Filipino youth and to provide a practical experience for a prospective entrepreneurial career path,” according to information from their website.
What is the Lazada scholarship for? According to the website, “Lazada will sponsor two (2) undergraduate university students each year worth P40,000 each. In addition, he/she will have the opportunity to sit with the Lazada Philippines CEO in the office for one full working day to get a glimpse of what goes on in the country’s leading e-commerce company.” We are talking, of course, of Inanc Balci–the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lazada in the Philippines. Being one of the biggest e-commerce sites in the world, I think that Mr. Balci is truly an authority on the subject of online entrepreneurship.
Online entrepreneurship is really one thing that I would like my daughters to explore one day. For now, there is only one thing that she has to do–grow up.
